Hello,

I have a bnch of x335 and x345 with Xeon CPUs of 2.4-3.0 GHz and all
with 4GByte of memory.

Can you tell me, whether I can run KVM on it + 4-8 Debian guests guests?

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

IIRC not all of those machines contained CPUs with the necessary feature
to run KVM; just run

egrep '(vmx|svm)' --color=always /proc/cpuinfo

and see if it (as it's an intel-based machine) gives you the 'vmx' back.

If not, no KVM. However, you can still run Xen (which I do on a bunch of
x345's, very happily).

If they do run KVM, depends on the workload. However, I'd get more
memory (assuming CPU light tasks handled by the guests) to add.
