From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Alex Williamson Subject: [PATCH v2 2/2] KVM: Use pci_store/load_saved_state() around VM device usage Date: Tue, 19 Apr 2011 14:12:17 -0600 Message-ID: <20110419201217.3739.66570.stgit@s20.home> References: <20110419200912.3739.22895.stgit@s20.home> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org, alex.williamson@redhat.com, jan.kiszka@siemens.com, avi@redhat.com, jbarnes@virtuousgeek.org To: linux-pci@vger.kernel.org, kvm@vger.kernel.org Return-path: In-Reply-To: <20110419200912.3739.22895.stgit@s20.home> Sender: linux-pci-owner@vger.kernel.org List-Id: kvm.vger.kernel.org Store the device saved state so that we can reload the device back to the original state when it's unassigned. This has the benefit that the state survives across pci_reset_function() calls via the PCI sysfs reset interface while the VM is using the device.
