My colleague tries to install 64bit windows 2008r2 on centos 6.4 server: here is kernel version: # uname -a Linux gesar 2.6.32-358.23.2.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Oct 16 18:37:12 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux during setup ( at early stage ) he got: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal stop code is 0x000000d1 But he successefully installed windows 2003 on this server.... That's problem. hardware support was disabled in bios. My colleague didn't find this because he created VM in virt-manager and now for some reason it shows virtualization type in advanced, which is hidden by default and all other (newer) servers have hardware support on by default. On the other hand I thought he checked everything before calling me.
