It may have to do with this bug, which I am not sure is still valid or not: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/685096 I am trying to get USB devices to show up in a Windows 7 box, and have had no success. My full command line is here: https://gist.github.com/jkugler/1c47ff0f34ac46a156f6b69abd1b66d9 I have all the USB hubs/ports listed in there as far as I know. I have this too: "-device usb-host,hostbus=2,hostaddr=5,id=hostdev0" which is the actual device I want to pass through. But it is not showing up in Windows 7, and usbdevview is not showing it as connected either. I did notice this in the command line; not sure if that has any affect: "-machine pc-i440fx- xenial, accel=kvm, usb=off" I used the method described here: http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/ USB_Host_Device_Assigned_to_Guest ("Managed, using virt-manager") Any ideas? j -- Joshua J.
