Hi,
I'm running a Gentoo 2007.0 system.
$ uname -a
Linux localhost 2.6.21-gentoo-r4 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Aug 14 23:07:16 UTC 2007
i686 Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2500 @ 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
After executing "sudo ./configure; sudo make; sudo make install", the
modprobe command is failing as shown below.
$ sudo /sbin/modprobe kvm-intel
FATAL: Error inserting kvm_intel (/lib/modules/2.6.21-gentoo-r4/extra/kvm-
intel.ko): Input/output error
Thanks in advance to all!

Known issue. kvm-35 will be released shortly to address this bug.

Do not meddle in the internals of kernels, for they are subtle and quick to panic.
