According to the Guest OS status, all Windows OSes seem to fail on
AMD64. Is this still the case?

Starting with KVM-34, it has been improved from "crashing" to
"not-so-stable" status. Now it kinda works, but requires workarounds,
so proceed with caution if you're advanced user. For normal user, it's
still not there.
