Hi,
We run some tests against latest kvm.git and kvm-userspace.git.
For 32bit host, we applied Eddie's patch to fix " "kvm: Unknown symbol
genapic" error, and Qing's patch to fix exit qualification issue.

In the testing, we found following issues have been fixed:
1. Blue screen issue of Vista guest.
2. 64bit SMP windows issue
3. The failure of building 32bit kvm as external modules
4. Cannot boot guests on 32bit host

But we still find 3 new issues:
1. guest timer 2 times faster than network timer

Summary for current status:
##What's working:
 Can boot most ia32/ia32e SMP/UP Linux guests with either acpi enabled
or acpi disabled.
 Can boot ia32/ia32e SMP/UP Windows XP, and Windows 2k3 guests with
either acpi enabled or acpi disabled.
 Save/Restore works on both ia32 and IA32e
 Live migration works on ia32 and ia32e
 ia32 guest can be migrated from ia32 host to ia32e host 
 Keybord, mouse, ide disk, vga, and nic work well.

##What's not working:
 Can NOT boot windows 2k
 Can NOT boot ia32e rhel4u3 with -no-acpi
 Can NOT boot 2.6.22 kernel if not disable nmi_watchdog
 guest timer 2 times faster than network timer
 Booting multiple guests likely fails
 64bit 4GB guest cannot start network
 high cpu usage of 32bit windows xp/2003

Does this happen with -no-kvm-irqchip?

Eddie, the is very likely the lapic.  Can you take a look?

Is this really a new issue?  There haven't been changes in the large 
memory support.

I actually have a win2k guest somewhere.  I think I installed it without 
apic support, but not sure.

[Yunfeng] It's not a regression issue. Before we didn't find this issue
because we didn't check the network of 64bit 4GB linux,

[Yunfeng] I have two win2k diskimages, one is installed apic smp hal,
another is installed with up noapic hal.  Both have this issue.
