hi,
with kvm-40 in a x86_64 host bridged mode:
---------------------------
e1000: peth0: e1000_watchdog_task: NIC Link is Up 100 Mbps Full Duplex
e1000: peth0: e1000_watchdog_task: 10/100 speed: disabling TSO
---------------------------
while on the guests (both x86_64 and i386) are full with such lines:
---------------------------
Sep 19 09:23:40 devel-i386 kernel: eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex,
lpa 0x05E1
Sep 19 09:24:47 devel-i386 kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
Sep 19 09:24:50 devel-i386 kernel: eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex,
lpa 0x05E1
Sep 19 09:25:08 devel-i386 kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
---------------------------
with the rtl8139 guest driver:
---------------------------
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: 8139too Fast Ethernet driver 0.9.27
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: 8139too 0000:00:03.0: This (id
10ec:8139 rev 20) is an enhanced 8139C+ chip
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: 8139too 0000:00:03.0: Use the
"8139cp" driver for improved performance and stability.
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKC]
enabled at IRQ 10
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:03.0[A]
-> Link [LNKC] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: eth0: RealTek RTL8139 at 0xf8812000,
00:16:3e:58:66:7b, IRQ 10
Sep 18 09:16:48 devel-i386 kernel: 8139cp: 10/100 PCI Ethernet driver
v1.2 (Mar 22, 2004)
---------------------------
while the biggest problem is that the net access the guest are become
very slow (probably because of this error).
