Thus when syslinux uses VBE to do its graphical bits, the lfb address doesn't match what the bios thinks it is :-/ Test case is any Fedora boot.iso or live CD from the past year or so. It works fine in QEMU so it's probably a KVM bug. I'll look into it when I get a chance.
