Hi all,

I've "only" a core2duo with VT, is it somehow possible to use the PCI
device assignment without VT-d?
That would be great because I cannot upgrade the Mainboard for my system.

If yes, what other prerequisites must be fulfilled?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Erik

Not really. There was some work to allow a single unmodified guest to
be assigned PCI devices, and for multiple modified guests as well, but
neither have been merged. Both exposed the host to a malicious guest.

KVM doesn't support PCI passthrough without VT-d.

Xen supports (and has supported for years) PCI passthrough without VT-d
to PV (paravirtual) guests.
