Subject: Snapshots tool - usage whilst running ?
Date: Wed, 09 Jun 2010 15:01:34 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <4C0F9EBE.9060700@q-par.com> (raw)
Hi
I'm a KVM newbie; I've been using the new snapshots tool with libvirt0 0.8.0
But I found that I couldn't make good snapshots whilst the domain was
running. When I tried, data was being created as the pool was getting
bigger, but after 15 mins, I got an error
'error : server closed connection'
Doing a snapshot with snapshot-create with same domain not running and
snapshot was created successfully in only 30 seconds.
As I would like to do live snapshots, am I doing something wrong? I'm
using qcow2 format storage.

Kind regards
