Hi all,
I have to set up a virtual network environment, with +/- 15 virtual
hosts and synchronize some of those virtual machines with ptp (precision
time protocol). PTP was developed to provide very precise time
coordination of LAN connected computers. The aim is to be a lot more
precise than NTP, with a few milliseconds gap between synchronized
machines.
I have downloaded and installed ptpd [1] on each virtual machines but it
does not seem to work.
I use Debian testing on the host, kvm --version output is
QEMU PC emulator version 0.12.5 (qemu-kvm-0.12.5)
Each virtual machine runs CentOS 5.5.
Do you know if there is some issues in the configuration, or between kvm
and ptp ?
Regards,
Antoine
