I am using kvm-8 plus all 8 kernel side updates for 2.6.20-rc2.
If I start a XP SP2 install using qemu and KVM it dies with a BSOD.
If KVM is disabled, the installation proceeds as expected.
Let me know if any more info is needed.
Parag

That's a known problem. XP SP2 doesn't work with the current ACPI implementation, but you can use `qemu -no-acpi' to install and run it. You just have to kill and restart qemu manually when XP fails to reboot (which won't work without ACPI). -- Michael "Tired" Riepe <michael-0QoEqw4nQxo@public.gmane.org> X-Tired: Each morning I get up I die a little ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Not entirely accurate. Install the NT/Legacy APM device if you want your guest to be able to close the qemu window on shutdown. After acpi is disabled there is also no need to launch with -no-acpi since the guest will no longer be using the device. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
