Subject: [LARTC] bandwith limit does not work
Date: Tue, 03 Apr 2001 17:12:20 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-lartc-98631802415350@msgid-missing> (raw)
Hi all,
now that iproute2 is running;
got the following problem using the configuration;
ip internet 10.0.0.1 eth0 ---- linux ----eth1 192.168.0.12 LAN (2 machines
connected)
machine 1: 192.168.0.11 (gateway 192.168.0.1.12) --> should only get 128kbit
(downstream bounded to bandwith machine 2\x128+256)
machine 2: 192.168.0.199 (gateway 192.168.0.1.12) --> should only get
256kbit downstream
tc command:
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 20: cbq bandwidth 10Mbit avpkt 1000
tc class add dev eth1 parent 20:0 classid 20:1 cbq bandwidth 10Mbit rate
10Mbit allot 1514 weight 1Mbit prio 8 maxburst 20 avpkt 1000
tc class add dev eth1 parent 20:1 classid 20:100 cbq bandwidth 10Mbit rate
128Kbit allot 1514 weight 128Kbit prio 5 maxburst 20 avpkt 1000 bounded
tc class add dev eth1 parent 20:1 classid 20:200 cbq bandwidth 10Mbit rate
256Kbit allot 1514 weight 256Kbit prio 5 maxburst 20 avpkt 1000
tc qdisc add dev eth1 parent 20:100 sfq quantum 1514b perturb 15
tc qdisc add dev eth1 parent 20:200 sfq quantum 1514b perturb 15
tc filter add dev eth1 parent 20:0 protocol ip prio 100 u32 match ip src
192.168.0.12 flowid 20:200
tc filter add dev eth1 parent 20:0 protocol ip prio 25 u32 match ip src
192.168.0.199 flowid 20:100
tc accepts all commands..
so I tried to download a file, for some reason both machines get max
bandwith (1Mb) and not the bandwith limit. Did I do something wrong?
Joost Schildwacht
Ps. Is there a command line option to delete the lines without rebooting the
system? something like tc delete dev eth1...
