Try

gen_send and gen_recv provide a testbed for UDP variable length packet
generation, and metrics of bandwidth and packet loss.

The only drawback I see is that the logfiles are not updated in a timely
fashion so that one could apply periodic Bronc or other graphing tools
for rapid visualization.
