I'm not so familiar with the PPP protocol, but is the LCP and NCP parts
"done and forget"? If this is so then we should put that in a seperate
executable(like the pppd you sended) that runs, setups the line and then
exits signaling the ktcp to do the communications over it. 

All this for being smaller in memory ofcourse.
