Surely it matters not a jot that I'm booting ELKS on Virtual PC? Or is there a deep philosophical objection to such an activity, of which I'm not aware? I'm unfortunately quite content to bicker with you all day about this, but I'd prefer to do something more productive, like shooting fish in a barrel with a shotgun. So, does anyone here know how to persuade the "comb" disk image to load a custom kernel image? It's not documented as far as Google could see (though my Google results tend to be erratic at best).
