ELKS has been bootable for at least the last three years. 2. ELKS currently has SLIP access over a null modem cable to another computer, so can be indirectly connected to the Internet. One of the developers put a system running ELKS on the Internet as a static web server for his network a while back, and there wasn't any noticable speed difference between that and the web server on his Linux box on the same ethernet system. 3. ELKS does NOT currently have support for any ethernet cards, but support for the NE1000 and NE2000 cards is under development, and possibly also for other cards. 4. I am not the person to ask about applications under ELKS. That is better asked on the ELKS development list, which I have CC'd this email to. Somebody on there can better answer this question. Best wishes from Riley. _______________________________________________________________________ =46reeserve AnyTime, only =A313.99 per month with one month's FREE tria= l! =46or more information visit http://www.freeserve.com/time/ or call fre= e on 0800 970 8890 - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-8086" i= n the body of a message to majordomo@vger.kernel.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
