I have done this proving the linux setup is good but I would much prefer an ELKS solution for the laptop side. I have sucessfully telnetted into the linux box using a SLIP connection (thanks Harry) but I would prefer not to run telnetd or similar services on the linux box. I suspect this should be simple to do but rtfm and google have just left me confused. Thanks for any help you can provide. Pat Gilliland
