How do I get swsuspend debugging?

Hi.

I downloaded the latest swsusp patch and the acpi-20020918 patch and
recompiled my 2.4.18 kernel. 
I also downloaded the swsuspend script on

http://alor.antifork.org/presario705/swsusp

but when I launch it it does everything but suspend my laptop (presario
710EA).

Any idea on how to get some debugging info from what that script does? I
set degugging in /proc/sys/kernel/swsusp to 102 but in the messages file
nothing comes up :-(

The spaces are important. You need "1 0 2", not 102.
