/boot/grub/grub.conf
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.18)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18 ro root=/dev/hda5 pci=noacpi

result:
PCI: Unknown option `noacpi'

this question can be a little out of the subject, but when you say pass pci=noacpi the
ACPI kernel, what is suppose to do?
adding to parameter to kernel ?
