Now I get most of the devices in the /proc/acpi directory. Except /proc/fan and /proc/thermal_zone directories are empty. Under what conditions does this happen? I've been reading the code in thermal.c, but so far I haven't been able to figure this out. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. ...richie ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread

Do you see any messages about found thermal zones in your dmesg? If not,
then it is as simple as no thermal zones or fans were detected on your
system.
