Do you see any messages about found thermal zones in your dmesg? If not,
then it is as simple as no thermal zones or fans were detected on your
system.

Hi,

I've compiled kernel 2.4.20 with the ACPI patch on my Fujitsu Lifebook.
Now I get most of the devices in the /proc/acpi directory. Except
/proc/fan and /proc/thermal_zone directories are empty.

Under what conditions does this happen? I've been reading the code in
thermal.c, but so far I haven't been able to figure this out.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

...richie
