S3 suspend no longer works with 2.6.0-test3

Hi,

the system is Sony Vaio Z600TEK. Since 2.6.0-test3 the kernel locks when
suspending to S3 via echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep. Console then shows:

hda: start_power_step (Step: 0)
hda: start_power_step (Step: 1)
hda: complete_power_step (step: 1, stat: 50, err: 0)
hda: completing PM request, suspend

Thats it. I put a dump_stack () into ide_complete_pm_request and got the
following:

With some printks I found that it does return from the first three, but
I could not trace it further. Especially I can not see it returning from
the second task_no_data_intr...but to be honest I have no further idea
where to look at. 

Can anyone else observe this?

For me, it's even worse: the laptop enters S3, but when I try to resume,
it seems to start waking up but then freezes before I the screen is
woken up. Thus, I can't see any kernel message and, since this laptop
doesn't have a serial port, I'm afraid I can't do much.

Sometimes, if I unplug all removable devices before suspending, the
system resumes correctly, but the USB-UHCI host adapter is unusable.
Curiously, software suspend works much better :-)

It seems there's still a long way to a fully functional Linux with
PM+ACPI.
