In /var/log/messages I saw this:
ACPI: System BIOS is requesting _OSI(Linux)
ACPI: Please test with "acpi_osi=!Linux"
Please send dmidecode to linux-acpi@vger.kernel.org

So I have attached the requested information. Laptop is an Acer
Travelmate 6460 running Fedora 7. Please send questions/remarks off-list
as I am not subscribed.
