Hi,
I just tried 2.4.20-pre11 with latest acpi patch (+ swsusp) and there is
no processor/thermal entry in my /proc anymore. Any hints?
thanks!

Please excuse me if you've sent them previously or something...but could you
send your DSDT and dmesg output? What kind of machine is this, too?
Thanks -- Regards -- Andy
PS you can get these with "cat /proc/acpi/dsdt > dsdt.dat" and "dmesg >
dmesg.txt".

This is a Sony VAIO FX405, Athlon4 1GHz, VIA Chipset.
Thermal zone and processor (C1, C2) worked fine until september release
(2002-09-07?), haven't tried 2nd oct. release yet.
thank you, andy!

With 20021002 /proc/processor exits
with 20021022 /proc/processor disappears
so I have the same problem on a compaq pressario 706EA.

I have the same symptoms here on a Sony Viao.
Andy: I'm willing to help out debugging if needed.

Same here, it stopped working with 2.5.45. I went through the diffs
and see nothing suspect (thermal did not change at all if I read it
correctly), that means that something in interpretter broke it?
Is there someone with 2.5.45 who sees /proc/acpi/processor or
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone?
