Subject: ACPI & 2.5.50

Hi,

I own a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 laptop and recently ACPI support has
gone backwards. I remember with 2.4.19 (iirc) I could put my CPU in less
power consuming mode, I could 'echo "force_on: 1" > fan' to turn on
my fan, and I could put my computer in certain sleep modes by echoing
strings to /proc/acpi/sleep.

Then I switched to 2.4.20-rc2 on which the acpi patch for rc1 applied
succesfully, and then switching power-consuming modes of my CPU stopped
working, as for putting my computer in sleep modes. But I could still
see that it should be possible, by cat'ting the contents of
processor/CPU0/* files.

Now I have 2.5.50 running and now I can't turn my fan on by echoing to
fan, I can't switch sleepmodes nor can I throttle my CPU. Even catting
the contents of most of the processor/CPU0/* files show no information...

Please find below, the contents of all textfiles in /proc/acpi/ and the
output of dmesg while running 2.5.50 kernel.

HTH,
Sander.
