Writing to some if not all of the acpi files under /proc/acpi
appar to be broken in 2.5.x tree at this time.  We hope that
the responsable for will soon release a proper patch.

And yes, we know who have broken, and we will soon go to his home
and brrr, I hope we will be not too nervous :)
