The problem is once the cpu fan comes on it will never go off again. Disabling acpi will correct this problem but then closing the lid will cause the machine to hard lock requiring a cold restart. Acpi is correctly reading the state of the lid and power button, thermal zone seems to work, sleep doesnt seem to work as it should but this doesnt bother me. Battery info appears incorrect as it will show a battery even when the battery is removed. Ac power is correctly read. I would greatly appreciate any help!! Compiling acpi without fan support doesnt help, the fan still gets stuck on. Is there anyway around this other than disabling acpi completly causing the lid switch problem? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The Definitive IT and Networking Event.
