Backlight doesn't come back on after resume

Until recently, I was able to get video working again after resume if I 
passed acpi_sleep=s3_mode and had a script that changed away from and 
back to my X session (the framebuffer was screwed afterwards, but never 
mind). This seems to have stopped working recently - in 2.5.70, I end up 
with a machine that pings, but no video. I've tried all permutations of 
acpi_sleep and using or not using the framebuffer. It worked in 2.5.65. 
Anyone have any idea what might have changed?

Oops. Hitting the video output key a couple of times seems to have fixed 
this. 2.5.70 seems to let me do S3 suspend/resumes repeatedly - I've 
just done 5 of them without any trouble. Great work!

Try to find out which change broke it.
