A friend of mine just got his Thinkpad R40e and we tried to install Debian = on=20 it. Long story short, a vanilla Linux 2.4.22 with ACPI enabled already=20 freezes while booting, right after printing the line: ACPI: Found ECDT If some further problems with this machine are solved we could provide some= =20 debugging info to the list, what infomation do you need, if any? An ACPI=20 tables dump, dmesg output, lspci -vvv comes to mind, anything else?
