Power off problem with 2.6

I have a sony vaio fxa-53 laptop (athelon 1.3G + via cheepset).
It seems that a problem that I used to have with 2.4 is back in
2.6.0-test9
When trying to power down the computer goes all the way to the power
down message and then stops.
Changing the sleep state in the acpi_power_off from S5 to S4 solves this
problem.
Tried to compare the differences with 2.4 but all I could see was that
2.4 attempted to save the state and also flushed the caches. Probably
I'm missing something.

That funny.  Could you please send me the DSDT for that model?
I think I got it already, but I don't remember where it is.

BTW, what is the via southbridge?
