Please see the patch below. It was found by Don Lewis
<truckman-h+KGxgPPiopAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org>. It solves the hang on powerdown for thinkpad
users. Of course, linux users will have to run the patch through the
sourcecode modifier before applying.
