Button events lost after S3 on Thinkpad R32

Hi all.
I understand that this problem also shows up in the R40

After doing echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep

and then resuming, events no longer arrive in /proc/acpi/event. 

I doesn't matter if it's tiggered by a lid event, or done by hand, the 
same thing happens (I thought there might be some kind of a race for a bit)

Everything else seems to work.  I can sleep by hand, and by lookng at 
the /proc/ entry I can see that the lid opens and closes.

There is a typo in this DSDT, but fixing it doesn't seem to help.

I tried to debug this a bit by setting debug_layer to 0x4 (for the event 
layer) and the level to 0xffffffff, but I couldn't really see anything 
too suspect.

How's the /proc/interrupts after that? Does it show any ACPI interrupts
occuring? Anyway, you moight want to check on this:

Hi,
I have tested S3 in many machines, and all tests show ACPI interrupt lost after S3. /proc/interrupts shows no ACPI interrupt increases; power button and any ACPI related button can't generate any events. I guess ACPI need be re-initialized after S3. Patch in bug 1409 can resolve S1 problem but not S3.

I tried looking at bugzilla, but hadn't noticed that one.

Anyway, the patch doesn't work, as Shaohua observed.

That patch doesn't intend for resolving S3 Button events lost issue.  Maybe you can file a tracker for it, and let's follow up there. --Luming

Just to let you know: my system is fine after S3, i.e. ACPI interrupts are
not lost (it's an ASUS L3C laptop, FYI).

test11, with quite a lot of patches actually:

Though as far as I remember, I never had problems with ACPI interrupts
after S3 resume, only after S1.
