Subject: Debian Testing, 2.6.0 Release Kernel, Dropping Keyboard + Mouse with ACPI
Date: Thu, 1 Jan 2004 12:05:28 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200401011205.28789.debian@neillans.co.uk> (raw)

Problem:
When ACPI is enabled and compiled, the keyboard and mouse does not work,
unless I boot with the acpi=off extra.

Platform:
 Hardware: NEC Versa M300 laptop
OS: Debian R3.0 upgraded to testing. Kernel 2.6.0 compiled from source from
www.kernel.org

I have been trying to trace this over the last week, and managed to isolate it
to the ACPI module -- I am currently booting the 2.6.0 kernel on this machine
with acpi=off, but would like to get it to work in order to support the acpi
events on my laptop.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Andy
