I have my newly compiled dsdt
/etc/dsdt

How do I set this as my new DSDT under SuSE 9?

I have used the Yast Sysconfig and changed the value under the KERNEL
section...but it isn't using it :( and it hasn't changed the init in /boot,
so what command do you type?

many thanks
George

in /etc/sysconfig/kernel i have:
ACPI_DSDT="/boot/DSDT.aml"
of course, you have to give the filename of your DSDT

mk_initrd (as root) does the trick.

I got the DSDT to be used on bootup...

Looking for DSDT in initrd ... found (at offset 286191)!
    ACPI-0292: *** Info: Table [DSDT] replaced by host OS

But It doesn't work.

Any suggestions people?

I'm using SUSE 9 on Dell Inspiron 5100
