To my best knowledge, ASUS doesn't even recognize Linux's existence, at
least as far as laptops go. It probably just happens that they have decent
quality control and their DSDTs are somewhat decent as a result, though
their individual quality still varies. The following code sample, found in
most Centrino DSDTs makes iasl quite unhappy:
