_blank_ after resume

_blank_ after resume

I got a blank screen with keyboard frozen after resume.

Running on IBM Thinkpad X30
Linux 2.6.4-rc2 with patch acpi-20040220-2.6.4.diff.bz2
XFree86 Version 4.4.0

Problem only occurs if suspends from X11. Shutting down X11 first will
resume properly.

So, it is possible to resume back to X11 without shutting down X11 before
suspending?

Teach X to pretend to shutdown :-).

Ok, that's good. Can you kindly elaborate just a little?

I've no clue. Currently, I _really_ shutdown X first. Would to nice to not
shutdown, but I don't know how to _pretend_.

I did not say it is easy :-).

Teach X (I mean write code!) to return video card to same state it
puts it after X shutdown.
