Hi all,

This may be ambitious but I am trying to get ACPI working on a Tecra S1 Gentoo
2.6.6 system.
I have applied the acpi-2.6.6... patch and a initrd patch, and tried a variety
of "fixed" DSDTs and not using a custom DSDT. I always get the boot messages
shown below. I have also attached the DSDT.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies.

I have searched for answers extensively before but have just now found
references to ECDT which apparently is missing on Tecra S1. I will attempt to
find the right kernel patches and see if that works.

Btw, is there a single good reference site for these kind of problems?

Cheers,
Marek Wawrzyczny

Try the patch attached to
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1690
It sorta worked for my Tecra S1, i.e. the error message goes away
and I get the battery status. Suspend-to-ram (S3) still
doesn't work even with kernel 2.6.7, but that's probably not
an ACPI problem.

Cheers, Roderich

The patch Roderich described works. It works even better than the
custom DSDT that have been posted.

However, I did noticed that there is an error with PFA_0 AE "ON"
instance failing if the computer starts at a warm/hot temperature.

As for suspend - I have user reports that S4 works for them using
PM_Disk. S3 still very iffy at ths point.

Cheers,
Savio
