acpi=on -> black screen instead of bootup

Hi!

I have a HP Pavillion ZE4455EA. I'm running Mandrake 10.0.
I have tried acpi=on in both the official kernel (2.6.3) and an rpm for 
2.6.7-rc3. Both behave exactly the same...
Instead of showing the bootup thingies, when i press enter on my lilo prompt, 
the screen just turns black, and it does nothing anymore.. Does anybody have 
any ideas about that? Reason/solution/... :) Thanks!

I tried your suggestion, but it doesn't change anything :(
Something else i could try? Does anybody happen to know what the exact problem 
is?

Thanks for your reply, but it didn't help.. These are the combo's i tried:

"nolapic noapic acpi=on" and "nolapic acpi=on"

( Formerly my screen went just blank because i used the framebuffer, and it 
didn't had time to initialize before the hangup.. Booting with framebuffer 
disabled showed me this output..)
