I have installed the patch from the web site you mentioned (the one dated 2003-12-24). After that all acpi modules load with out any errors (with obvious warnings about that "bit_width must be 8"). The computer screen blinks during boot and sometimes when modules are loaded. Otherwise I did not notice any side effects of the patch. The battary status wrongly states that Battery 1: charged, 0% Is there a way to correct this problem? AC status is reported correctly. POwer button does tno seem to work. Thermal infomation appears to be correct. Do you want me to test anything? Thank you very much for your kind help Lazar --- "Li, Shaohua" wrote: > Please try the first one. > > Thanks, > Shaohua > > >-----Original Message----- > >From: acpi-devel-admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org [mailto:acpi-devel- > >admin-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of Z F > >Sent: Tuesday, June 29, 2004 10:52 PM > >To: Li, Shaohua > >Cc: acpi-devel-5NWGOfrQmneRv+LV9MX5uipxlwaOVQ5f@public.gmane.org > >Subject: RE: [ACPI] Error: Handler for [EmbeddedControl] returned > >AE_BAD_PARAMETER > > > >Dear Shaohua Li, > > > >Thank you very much for your reply.
