Hi,

thanks for that hint. it seems gkrellm is causing these problem.
after preventing gkrellm from starting via .xinitrc these messages don't
apear anymore.

i did a little research, since gkrellm is only reading
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state and /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/ACAD/state to
display battery status.

i can reproduce these error messages with the following command:

while [ 1 ]; do cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state && sleep 1; done

it's 100% reproduceable on my laptop.

should i fill a bug report ?

kernelversion is 2.6.9-rc4. but this problem is present since 2.6.7 (or earlier)
