Dear All,

I understand that in principle the equivalent of

setpnp 0x0e on

is (with PNPACPI)

echo 1 > /sys/device/pnp0/00:0e/power

(from memory)

The only problem is that even if I "activate" all the devices, I still cannot
load the needed module (on a thinkpad 600e, module snd-cs4236).

What is needed in addition to that ?

Many thanks

Damien

That worked to the point that the module can be loaded. However, when I try to
play a sound,

e.g. aplay sound.wav,

aplay seems to wait for something (does not start playing).

I tried to echo -n 1 to the power/state of everything.

Thanks for the help.

Damien
