I am seeing this panic when I poweroff my x86_64 machine. It looks like
ACPI is not quite right in this BIOS, but it shouldn't panic the kernel.
acpi_power_off called

This looks quite like a bug I observed in one VIA chipset based system,
mine is a HT system. The system hangs when read one io port. Could you
please add some log in 'acpi_os_read_port' to see which io port caused
the bug? Could you please tell me your chipset information?
In my test, it seems a BIOS specific issue, I can workaround the issue
by a tricky method, but no real root cause found.
Thanks,
Shaohua

Well, if AML code tells it to spin in interrupts disabled -- no wonder
NMI watchdog triggers.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I finally got an updated BIOS
that fixes this problem. It was *not* with Linux.
