Hello,
I was wondering if any of you could help me with suspend to ram on a
travelmate c110. I'm running kernel 2.6.10 on Hoary.
It seems I can suspend, and sort of resume. The machine seems to
resume, but the display does not come back on. I can issue commands
like reboot, etc at the terminal I suspended from. I cannot get the
display to come back on whether or not I suspend from within X or just a
plain terminal.
Any ideas?
Adam

I did, however, find something in someone's blog concerning a Travelmate c300 that mentioned a utility called video_post. This works - you have to switch to a VT and back to X to get it to start working, but this is scriptable with chvt. video_post wasn't easy to find via google - there are lots of posts about it, but most links are broken... a forum post finally led me to this link: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3670 and download "attachment.cgi", which is actually a .tar.gz package. I guess this is just an FYI for anyone who might come accross the archive searching for Travelmate c110. The Xorg people told me that vm86 was preferable to x86emu on x86, but that doesn't help a great deal for amd64.
