Subject: Processor idling implemetation question
Date: Fri, 26 Jul 2002 00:03:32 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <3D40CA14.6000101@folkwolf.net> (raw)

You folks may recall that I posted some code here a few days ago that enabled
C2 idling on AMD-760MP(X) chipset based systems via harware. Something I
noticed when looking through processor.c in the ACPI code is that it wants to
idle each CPU individually, which I have observed cannot be done with the
AMD-760MP(X) chipsets. C2 and C3 idle is applied to both CPUs at once, there
is not choice of which CPU to idle and which to not idle. On how many other
chipsets is this also the case?
