They should be there... if you have a Toshiba laptop have a look also
inside /proc/acpi/toshiba. That's all I can think of right now.
Regards.

Hi
Mayby since 2.5.69(70) version, there is no functional acpi buttons
(in kernel)
ACPI: Subsystem revision 20030522
ACPI: Power Button (FF) [PWRF]
ACPI: Sleep Button (CM) [SLPB]
ACPI: Lid Switch [LID]
....but after pressing PowerButton, still nothing.
Until 2.5.68, it was OK.
And one more question. How can I start fan(s) control ?
(i am afraid about my CPU ;( )
I have empty /proc/acpi/fan directory !
Thx
mizu

Afaik, on some computers the fan(s) are controlled by hardware/bios and
not via acpi. For such computers you do not need the fan-module. If an
acpi-fan is detected it should be mentioned somewhere around where you
cut the lines of the recognition of your buttons.
Greetings,
