I'm running linux kernel 2.6.0-test8 and I've seen this error from as early as 2.6.0-test1. The machine is a MSI-6728 motherboard with a P4 (with HT) on it. Below I've put the output of dmesg (up to where acpi messages stop). Please let me know if there is anything else you might be interested in to clarify this situation because I'm really curious if this is BIOS problem or a possible bug in the ACPI code. with kind regards, Eric (error statement and partial dmesg output below) eric@pathfinder:~$ dmesg |grep AML ACPI-1120: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.MDET] (Node dffee8c0), AE_AML_REGION_LIMIT ACPI-1120: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0._CRS] (Node dffee9c0), AE_AML_REGION_LIMIT ACPI-0098: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0._CRS] (Node dffee9c0), AE_AML_REGION_LIMIT the output of dmesg: hm, page 000fc000 reserved twice. hm, page 000f5000 reserved twice. hm, page 000f6000 reserved twice.
