Subject: Error Message at boot time
Date: Mon, 05 Jan 2004 01:38:18 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <3FF8B1FA.6050102@web.de> (raw)

Hello,

I get an error message on boot time. I don't think it's serious because
everything seems to work fine. But maybe there is a way to get rid of it.

Errors:
ACPI: Subsystem revision 20031002
ACPI: IRQ 9 was Edge Triggered, setting to Level Triggerd
ACPI: Interpreter enabled
ACPI: Using PIC for interrupt routing
     ACPI-1120: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.C005.C00B]
(Node c7fee940), AE_AML_BUFFER_LIMIT
     ACPI-1120: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.C005.C00F]
(Node c7fee960), AE_AML_BUFFER_LIMIT
     ACPI-1120: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.C005._CRS]

     ACPI-0098: *** Error: Method execution failed [\_SB_.C005._CRS]

ACPI: PCI Root Bridge [C005] (00:00)
PCI: Probing PCI hardware (bus 00)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Routing Table [\_SB_.C005._PRT]
ACPI: Power Resource [C129] (on)

The box is an older Compaq Laptop. Its name is Armada e500.

The Distro is a Gentoo 1.4. The kernel is a vanilla selfcompiled 2.6.0.
I configured ACPI like this:

#
# ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) Support
#
CONFIG_ACPI=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BOOT=y
CONFIG_ACPI_INTERPRETER=y
# CONFIG_ACPI_SLEEP is not set
CONFIG_ACPI_AC=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BATTERY=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BUTTON=y
CONFIG_ACPI_FAN=y
CONFIG_ACPI_PROCESSOR=y
CONFIG_ACPI_THERMAL=y
# CONFIG_ACPI_ASUS is not set
# CONFIG_ACPI_TOSHIBA is not set
# CONFIG_ACPI_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_ACPI_BUS=y
CONFIG_ACPI_EC=y
CONFIG_ACPI_POWER=y
CONFIG_ACPI_PCI=y
CONFIG_ACPI_SYSTEM=y
# CONFIG_ACPI_RELAXED_AML is not set

I don't know what else to post at the moment. But if you like just tell
me what you're missing and I'll post it.

Thanks!

Sebastian
