I hear talks about the Inspiron 5150's DSDT being broken, like most Dells.
My ACP (specifically button and lid) do not operate in 2.6.0 series but
did in 2.4.0 series. Does the DSDT have anything to do with this? Is there
being any work on creating a new DSDT for the 5150?

On my Inspiron 8500 setting relaxed AML checking has eliminated the need
for overriding the DSDT in both 2.4 and 2.6. I'd certainly give it a try
if you haven't already.

Please provide kernel version that doesn't work for you.

None of the 2.6 series, either the betas, or tests or stable. I use
Gentoo and they have a variety of kernels available on portage and none
of them fix it. Actually the new acpi patches make my battery and temp.
sensors on gkrellm not function. So now none of my acpi things function
correctly. I have compile the kernel with ACPI_DEBUG but I get nothing.

Maybe http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1766 can help this
case.

Anyone working on fixing the DSDT for this machine? I have gotten all
the warnings to go away but it doesn't change anything. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks.
